Kien Giang received 23,627 units of blood

Volunteers participate in voluntary blood donation in Rach Gia City.

According to the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Kien Giang province, in 2024, the work of propaganda, mobilization of voluntary blood donation and blood reception will be closely and promptly coordinated by the steering committees at all levels with units, maintaining regular and effective activities.

Steering Committees at all levels organized 85 centralized blood donation points, resulting in the receipt of 23,627 units of blood for emergency and treatment, reaching 102.28% of the plan.

The work of developing voluntary blood donation force is focused on. Currently, the whole province has established and improved 135 types of voluntary blood donation clubs, with 2,770 members.

Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial Red Cross Society Luu Kim Oai awarded certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society to collectives and individuals .

In 2025, the steering committee for voluntary blood donation at all levels will continue to promote the purpose, meaning, humanistic values, knowledge about blood and blood diseases, especially promoting the dissemination of policies and regimes for blood donors from providing cash to supporting gifts in kind according to the provisions of law.

The Steering Committees at all levels strive to mobilize and receive 23,500 or more units of blood, with a repeat blood donation rate of 90%. Member agencies of the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation mobilize at least 30% or more of their cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, union members, and association members of agencies and units to participate in voluntary blood donation...

On the occasion of the conference to summarize the voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign in Kien Giang province, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 18 individuals with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 12 groups with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement and voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024.
