The Indonesian Air Force has ordered four Airbus H145 light helicopters at the Bali International Airshow in Badung, Bali as part of efforts to modernize its flight training program.

Indonesia's Defense Ministry said the country has ordered four Airbus H145 helicopters as part of a training modernization program.
According to the Jakarta Post , based on an agreement between the Indonesian air force and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), Airbus will deliver the five-rotor H145s to PTDI, which will manage the reassembly and completion at its facilities in Bandung, Indonesia, and then deliver the final product to the air force.
These multi-role helicopters will be deployed for military training and light search and rescue missions.
“The highly versatile H145 helicopter will have a positive impact in enhancing military pilot training, while also being a vital support element for search and rescue operations. With a trusted partner in PTDI, we look forward to working together to support the Indonesian fleet,” said Vincent Dubrule, Regional Director for Asia Pacific at Airbus Helicopters.

The Airbus H145 is the latest version of the airline, upgraded with 5 propellers, increasing the payload by 150 kg. The new generation aircraft is expected to help reduce maintenance activities, increase reliability, and improve flight comfort for both passengers and crew.
There are more than 1,700 H145 helicopters in service worldwide, with a total of more than 7.9 million flight hours. The H145 is used to train personnel in armed forces around the world, including the US, UK and soon Germany.
