The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the State management agency has reported to the National Assembly many times that if there are no drastic solutions, some art forms may face difficulties.

Continuing the Session Program, on the morning of August 21, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized questions and answers on the implementation of the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on thematic supervision and questions from the beginning of the 15th National Assembly term to the end of 2023 for the first group of fields, including the fields of: agriculture and rural development; industry and trade; culture, sports and tourism.
At the meeting, delegate Duong Minh Anh (Hanoi) said that currently, the training of human resources in the arts sector nationwide is shrinking in scale and quality, many sectors and majors cannot recruit students; the number of experts, scientists with high expertise, and cultural managers with expertise is decreasing, and arts training institutions are facing difficulties in being autonomous.
"The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism should state the reasons and solutions to improve the quality and increase the quantity to meet the demand for human resources in the cultural and artistic fields in the coming period," a Hanoi delegate asked.
Responding to Hanoi delegates, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the State management agency has reported to the National Assembly many times that if there are no drastic solutions, some traditional art forms may face difficulties.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Government has regulations to encourage and motivate such as reducing tuition fees and providing preferential treatment when studying traditional arts. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been implementing this nationwide, not only in the Ministry's schools.
"Regarding long-term and fundamental solutions, there must be many solutions so that people love Vietnamese culture and consider traditional Vietnamese art and culture as the soul that needs to be preserved and passed down," Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized.

Participating in the questioning session, delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap) reflected on the current poor and monotonous development of night tourism products in Vietnam and asked the Minister to clarify solutions to diversify night tourism products, contributing to retaining tourists in the coming time.
Regarding tourism services, delegate La Thanh Tan (Hai Phong) said that tourism is one of eight industries and professions included in the mutually recognized industry agreement within the framework of the ASEAN Economic Community (MRA-TP).
Delegates questioned the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism about the implementation of this agreement for tourism services in Vietnam. What is the recognition and mutual recognition between countries of tourism qualifications and certificates in the past time? What is the Ministry's solution to the impact of this issue on human resources in the tourism industry in Vietnam?
Responding to delegates, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has a project to encourage localities to research, based on planning factors to evaluate and develop night tourism products. Strive for "each locality to have a unique, professional, distinctive tourism product with high competitiveness."
Regarding the relationship between tourism and culture, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that "tourism develops to support culture, and culture development will make tourism flourish." In the tourism development strategy and the cultural development strategy, it is noted that tourism products must bear a strong cultural imprint.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung said many localities have been doing well in exploiting and promoting indigenous cultural values, thereby attracting tourists.
Also this morning, answering a delegate's question about the cultural industry, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that the cultural industry is an issue that our Party pays great attention to, and has been recorded in documents and specialized Resolutions. To implement the Resolution, the Government issued Decision No. 1755/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the strategy for developing Vietnam's cultural industries until 2020 and vision to 2030.
In the process of organizing and implementing the strategy, to concretize the Party's Resolution, we have re-evaluated and identified 12 types of cultural industries, including: architecture; software and entertainment games; handicrafts; design; cinema; publishing; fashion; performing arts; fine arts; photography and exhibitions; television and radio; cultural tourism.
"With these 12 industry groups, according to the management hierarchy, the Ministry only manages the state in 5 industry groups, the remaining industries are handled by different ministries and sectors. When re-evaluating the overall situation, it can be seen that the contribution of the cultural industry to the economy has accounted for a fairly high proportion," said Minister Nguyen Van Hung.
According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, in order to continue implementing the Cultural Industry Development Strategy in the current situation, the Ministry has proactively advised the Party, the State, and the Prime Minister. For the first time, the Prime Minister organized a national conference on cultural industry, focusing on re-evaluating the implementation effectiveness, identifying key points, tasks, solutions, and issuing directives in conjunction with the new cultural industry strategy. In particular, regarding the legal framework, we will continue to report to the National Assembly to perfect relevant policies and laws; identify and promote the role of the State, enterprises, and creators; focus on both implementing and deploying widely, and applying to key and potential markets.
Resolutions of the National Assembly and the Politburo have allowed Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to develop and have their own strategies and projects for the cultural industry. The contribution rate of the cultural industry is also very positive, with a widespread impact, promoting soft power and creating sustainable development./.
