Domestic pepper prices updated on the afternoon of March 14, 2025

It is forecasted that the world's demand for pepper will remain high, pushing pepper prices to maintain their upward momentum in the coming time.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), pepper prices are higher than in previous years, benefiting garden owners. However, this year many farmers have made big profits from durian and coffee, leading to pepper hoarding, making raw materials scarce even during the peak harvest season. Processors are forced to use their inventories to ensure timely delivery of signed export orders.

Many people hoard pepper waiting for prices to increase, leading to a situation where pepper prices at the farm gate are sometimes higher than raw material prices at export producers. The current situation will make business more difficult if farmers continue to limit the sale of raw materials to the market.
