Accordingly, on April 3, 2025, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency initiated a case of manufacturing counterfeit food products and defrauding customers related to Asia Life Joint Stock Company and Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company.

On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency also prosecuted 5 defendants including: Nguyen Phong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asia Life Joint Stock Company for the crime of producing counterfeit food products.

Prosecution of Le Tuan Linh, Director, legal representative of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Le Thanh Cong, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Pham Quang Linh, also known as Quang Linh Vlog, member of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company; Nguyen Thi Thai Hang, also known as Hang "Nutritious", Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company. These defendants were prosecuted for defrauding customers.

The Investigation Police Agency, Ministry of Public Security has determined that the defendants have signs of crime of producing fake food products and deceiving customers, according to the provisions of Articles 193 and 198 of the Penal Code. Based on the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security has issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and arrest and detain 5 defendants.

The candy is produced by ASIA LIFE Joint Stock Company in Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak. However, a consumer voluntarily took the candy for testing and the results showed that the fiber content in the product was much lower than what was falsely advertised.
