This year’s competition took place from March 5 to March 29 with the participation of 142 teachers teaching the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Physical Education, National Defense and Security Education. These are the best teachers selected from more than 3,700 teachers who participated in the school-level competition.
According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, compared to previous school years, this year's competition has a new feature of increasing the number of participating teachers, specifically from 2 teachers/subject to 3 teachers/subject. Thus, each subject has 36 participating teachers. 100% of the participating teachers have qualified training, of which 62 teachers have master's degrees, accounting for 43%.
The oldest teacher participating in the contest is Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, a Physical Education teacher at Thach Ban High School (born in 1973). The youngest teacher participating in the contest is Ms. Le Thu Quynh, a Physical Education teacher at Phung Khac Khoan High School - Thach That (born in 1998).
According to the judges, the special thing about this year's competition is that many lessons have expanded practical connections, helping students grasp knowledge and practice skills. Many teachers have applied a variety of methods to organize education; effectively used teaching aids and skillfully applied information technology.
At the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 142 teachers. Thus, 100% of teachers participating in the city's excellent teaching contest for the 2023-2024 school year were awarded prizes.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong highly appreciated the professional qualifications, dynamism and creativity of the teachers participating in the contest. The contest results are evidence for participating in the assessment of professional standards and implementing policies for teachers according to current regulations.
