On the morning of December 1, Cuc Phuong National Park coordinated with the French Embassy in Vietnam to organize the inauguration ceremony of Cuc Phuong Visitor Center.
Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnam Forestry Department, the French Embassy in Vietnam, leaders of the Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, leaders of Cuc Phuong National Park, the Provincial Tourism Association, local authorities and domestic and international conservation and nature education organizations.
The old Cuc Phuong Visitor Center was built in 1996. Over time, the information and images were no longer suitable, the functionality was low, the attractiveness and interaction level were low, attracting few visitors.
Implementing the Visitor Center Renovation Pilot Project supported by the French Embassy in Vietnam, Cuc Phuong National Park has built and renovated the Visitor Center. After nearly 2 years of construction, the project has been completed with modern facilities, a scientific and friendly information display system.
Cuc Phuong Visitor Center is divided into 3 areas: "Welcome", "Forest" and "Children's Space". The center is built and designed according to visual, realistic, attractive and lively criteria, using many images, artifacts and sounds for visitors to experience.
Coming to the Center, visitors can learn about the rich flora and fauna ecosystem; about the unique traditional cultures of the indigenous people through the information displays. There is also a relaxation space and games to help students learn more about the flora and fauna in the forest.
Every year, Cuc Phuong National Park welcomes about 120,000 visitors to visit, study and experience; of which about 6,000 - 7,000 visitors are students.

The inauguration of the Visitor Center will contribute to introducing and spreading the beauty of Cuc Phuong National Park to a large number of tourists and students. Thereby, arousing the love of nature and a sense of responsibility for biodiversity conservation among the younger generation.
Cuc Phuong National Park Visitor Center is one of three pilot projects of the FSPI program "Sharing and Preserving Vietnamese Heritage" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs with 15 billion VND, and is one of the projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing relations and 10 years of the Vietnam - France Strategic Partnership.
