On the morning of August 27, the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board coordinated with the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district and VietnamFinance Investment Magazine to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Martyrs' Temple at Ke Go Lake (Cam My commune, Cam Xuyen). Attending the inauguration ceremony were Chairman of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Nguyen Thanh Binh; Major General Dau Van Nam - Deputy Commissar of the Dalat Military Academy; Deputy Head of the Department of Mass Mobilization of State Agencies (Central Mass Mobilization Commission) Nguyen Minh Duc; Colonel Doan Xuan Buong - Deputy Commissar of Military Region 4; Editor-in-Chief of VietnamFinance Investment Magazine - Hoang Anh Minh. The Ke Go Lake area was once a fierce battlefield during the resistance war against the US. Here, the army built the Libi field airport and routes 21 and 22 in a secret plan to create a new traffic artery to support the southern battlefield.
These works mark the achievements and silent sacrifices of cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers and local people. In particular, fierce raids by the US Air Force took place at Libi airport on the morning of September 2, 1968 and the night of January 7, 1973, causing many casualties to the Northern army and people, taking the lives of many soldiers, defense workers and completely destroying Libi field airport.
When peace was restored in 1976, the State started the construction of Ke Go Lake to promote agricultural development. Ke Go Lake was completed and began to accumulate water, the old front gradually sank into the lake.

In recent years, the work of searching, collecting remains and identifying the remains of martyrs has been carried out by the Provincial Military Command in coordination with local authorities; to date, a temporary list of 62 martyrs who died in the Ke Go Lake area has been established. In 2011, the Management Board of Ke Go Nature Reserve together with organizations, units and philanthropists established a small temple to burn incense for the martyrs who died in the lake.
Recently, VietnamFinance Investment Magazine in collaboration with the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board has called for sponsors to support the construction of the Martyrs' Temple at Ke Go Lake. On July 18, 2022, the project officially started with a total investment of nearly 10 billion VND.
After more than 1 year of implementation, the project has been completed and put into use; becoming a red address, a spiritual tourist destination for people and visitors from all over to offer incense. This is also a place to educate the young generation about the glorious cultural and revolutionary traditions of the homeland and will be a highlight for visitors when coming to Ha Tinh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the responsibility of the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board, local authorities, relevant departments and branches and construction units in implementing the project.
Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung also expressed his deep gratitude to VietnamFinance for calling for resources; thanked businesses, organizations and individuals for accompanying the province in building the project.
To effectively promote the project's functions, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Trung Dung requested the Management Board of Ke Go Nature Reserve to continue mobilizing resources to complete the remaining construction items; at the same time, search for and collect documents related to the memorial and temple; and perform well the tasks of managing, caring for, protecting and preserving the project.
Besides, Cam Xuyen district needs to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to promote the potential of Ke Go Nature Reserve and famous landscapes and relics in the area to further develop the local tourism potential.
