Of these, tens of thousands of people gathered in Ca Mau to gather in the North.

"The 1954 Northward regrouping event was a strategic troop movement aimed at sending cadres, soldiers, and students from the South to the North to work and study to train Southern revolutionary cadres, build a socialist North, and create a solid rear base towards completely liberating the South and unifying the country," Mr. Ngai shared.
