Over the years, OCOP products in Quang Ninh province have affirmed their brand when being welcomed by consumers inside and outside the province. OCOP products have been distributed throughout the province, gradually becoming essential consumer goods for every family. The development and consumption of OCOP products have changed many regions and the lives of farmers.
This result is partly due to the attention and close direction of the province as well as departments, branches and localities in the development and consumption of OCOP products, thereby creating regional characteristics. In particular, the planning of production areas; control and protection of product brands; use of capital to support production and create product linkage chains; improve the quality of the OCOP monitoring team; access to the market; implementation of OCOP product production processes to ensure quality, food hygiene and safety, etc., have always received special attention and focus from relevant units.
By the end of June 2024, the whole Quang Ninh province had 393 OCOP products with 3-5 stars. Of which, 296 products had 3 stars; 93 products had 4 stars and 4 products had 5 stars. The whole province had 218 production entities with products with 3-5 stars. Adapting to the 4.0 industry era, strong digital transformation, currently 100% of OCOP products with 3 stars or more have been put on e-commerce platforms such as Voso, Postmart, Shopee, Lazada... helping to expand the consumption market better to other provinces.

Along with promoting the consumption of OCOP products through e-commerce channels, as well as sales through social networking sites, Quang Ninh also directed relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to actively promote trade, search for and expand output markets for OCOP products. One of the effective channels is the regular organization of OCOP fairs, attracting the participation of many people in the area where they are held as well as domestic and international tourists when coming to Quang Ninh.
In 2024, Quang Ninh successfully organized the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Spring 2024 and the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2024. Each fair attracted tens of thousands of people and tourists to shop, and the sales revenue of OCOP products reached tens of billions of VND. Not only that, OCOP products also participated in 12 district-level fairs and product weeks across the province and were well received and highly appreciated by the majority of people and tourists.
To continue to spread, connect, introduce, promote and consume OCOP products, the 2024 Northeast OCOP Fair - Quang Ninh and the 2024 Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Autumn-Winter will be held in Ha Long City and Mong Cai City.
As planned, the 2024 Northeast OCOP Fair - Quang Ninh will take place from August 29 to September 3 at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace (Ha Long City). The fair has 257 booths divided into 4 areas to display and promote products inside and outside the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, of which 100 booths display agricultural products, OCOP products of the province, introducing local culture; over 150 booths introduce typical agricultural products, OCOP products of provinces, cities, domestic and foreign economic organizations, and international local enterprises that have cooperative relations with Quang Ninh such as: Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Xay Nha Bu Ly (Laos), Guangxi, Yunnan (China), Pakistan...
The Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Fall-Winter 2024 will take place from November 14 to November 18, at the Mong Cai City Cultural and Communication Center with a scale of 200 booths introducing agricultural products, OCOP products of districts, towns and cities in the province; displaying and introducing typical and typical products of provinces and cities in the country; products of foreign enterprises with distribution agents in Vietnam...
The successful organization of fairs not only stimulates product consumption, bringing OCOP products closer to people and tourists, but also creates opportunities for production and processing units to find and meet customers, promote trade, and connect product consumption. Thanks to that, up to now, more than 80 OCOP Quang Ninh products have participated in large distribution systems, supermarkets, and shopping centers such as Go! Winmart, Coop Mart...
It can be said that over the years, Quang Ninh OCOP products have gradually affirmed their position and brand in the hearts of consumers. Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the campaigns "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and "Quang Ninh people prioritize using goods and services produced and traded in Quang Ninh province".
