Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, commented: “With his honest, skillful, and simple storytelling and his deep love for Uncle Ho, author Trinh Quang Phu has overcome the barriers of a writer writing about a great historical figure like President Ho Chi Minh. Therefore, when reading this book, readers feel like they are living in that era, like they are living next to that great man, and that is the wonderful thing about literature.”

“When reading this book, I was very moved by the story of Uncle Ho when he celebrated his first Tet in Vietnam after 30 years of separation. In the story, the moment when Uncle Ho met his comrades again and personally shook hands with each person was described and recounted very vividly, leaving me with a deep impression of the comradeship, revolutionary spirit and love for the homeland of this great man,” said Kongmanykeo, a Laotian student who participated in the discussion.

In the Footsteps of the Man by author Trinh Quang Phu has succeeded in bringing the image and ideology of President Ho Chi Minh closer to today's young generation.
