Opening of NEPCON Vietnam International Electronics Exhibition 2023

On October 4, the NEPCON Vietnam 2023 International Electronics Exhibition officially opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. The exhibition is co-located with the 16th International Exhibition on Machine Tools and Metalworking Solutions for Advanced Manufacturing (METALEX Vietnam).

Speaking at the opening of the Exhibition, Mr. Vu Trong Tai, General Director, RX Tradex emphasized: "The Exhibition will bring to many practical activities to support electronics businesses to increase production, expand markets and access international business opportunities, participate in the global supply chain with special programs such as free training courses with certificates; Mascot/icon design contest of the electronics industry".

Mr. Tai informed that the Mascot/Symbol Design Contest of the Electronics Industry is the first and only contest to date in the electronics industry to find ideas for designing mascots and symbols typical of the Vietnamese electronics industry. Announcements on the rules and regulations of the contest as well as the award structure will be posted on the media channels of the NEPCON electronics exhibition and will start accepting entries until the end of June 2024.

In addition, the Exhibition also has special activities under the Business Initiative Community project such as the Electronic Assembly and Repair Training Course with IPC standard certification, and the Leadership Training Course to help businesses adapt to change from consulting partner PNA Consulting.

Throughout the days of the Exhibition, there will be trade activities aimed at domestic and international businesses such as specialized technology seminars, completely free market updates from partners of the Business Initiative Community project such as PNA Consulting, Hand soldering and electronic repair training courses according to IPC standards...

According to reports from the General Statistics Office, foreign investment capital registered in the first 7 months has had positive growth. Total foreign investment capital registered in Vietnam (FDI) by the end of the third quarter, including newly registered capital, adjusted registered capital and capital contribution and share purchase value of foreign investors, reached 16.24 billion USD, up 4.5% over the same period last year.

The electronics industry in particular has also made many strides as the trend of shifting investment and production is creating opportunities for Vietnam to increase FDI attraction in the electronics industry, especially in the field of chip manufacturing.
