Opening of the literary and artistic composition camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and homeland of Quang Tri"

Today, August 13, the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize the opening of a literature and arts creation camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and homeland of Quang Tri", aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2024). Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang attended.

Speaking at the literary and artistic creation camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and the homeland of Quang Tri", Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang directed and suggested that the literary creation camp about soldiers in the province should have the participation of the Border Guard and forces implementing military rear policies such as veterans, women, trade unions, youth...; spread and mobilize more resources and strength from all levels of government and people so that artists can create good literary and artistic works, imbued with the love between the army and the people, showing gratitude and praising the contributions of the people to help the armed forces in the process of building, fighting and growing up.

In peacetime, the armed forces coordinate to ensure political security, social order and safety, build a close relationship between the army and the people, build a strong people's position and defense zones, as well as help the people overcome natural disasters, storms and floods, and serve the people.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang hopes that artists will invest their efforts to portray the image of heroic soldiers fighting to protect the Fatherland in wartime as well as in peacetime; to express gratitude, praise and acknowledge the silent contributions of the provincial armed forces over the past nearly 80 years under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, the care and nurturing of the masses, together with the people of the province, fighting bravely, establishing many outstanding achievements, contributing worthily to the cause of national liberation struggle, contributing to building the homeland of Quang Tri to become increasingly prosperous and happy.

Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command Nguyen Ba Duan summarized the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the tradition of the provincial armed forces over the past 80 years as well as the accompaniment of artists to reflect, depict, and praise generations of soldiers born from the People, fighting for the People, creating a spread of the beautiful image of Uncle Ho's soldiers across space and time, living forever in the hearts of past, present and future generations.

After the country was reunified, the heroic fighting and sacrifice of soldiers remained a source of inspiration for artists. However, literary and artistic works that left their mark on the past gradually faded away, while new works about the image of today's soldiers, their lives, their spirit, their contributions and sacrifices in peacetime, in the new context, were still modest compared to the reality of life. There were few works about soldiers helping people develop the economy, prevent storms and floods, eradicate poverty, eradicate illiteracy, provide health care, prevent epidemics, etc.

The Provincial Military Command hopes that artists will pay attention, spend a lot of time investing their efforts and intelligence to create literary and artistic works of high quality in content, form and art, which have a strong and profound impact on the thoughts and feelings of cadres and soldiers of the provincial armed forces as well as a large number of readers who love the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in fighting, building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, building the homeland of Quang Tri to become more and more beautiful.

Through literary and artistic works, we arouse and promote pride, the will to attack, creativity, the spirit of independence and self-reliance, overcoming all difficulties, daring to fight and knowing how to defeat all invaders, building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and gradually modern army.

The Literature and Arts Creation Camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and homeland of Quang Tri" will close in early December 2024.
