This morning, March 6, Dong Ha City held the opening ceremony of the Dong Ha City Phu Dong Sports Festival 2024. Secretary of the Dong Ha City Party Committee Le Quang Chien; Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong attended the opening ceremony.

The 2024 Dong Ha City Phu Dong Sports Festival takes place from January 25 to March 12, 2024; gathering nearly 2,000 athletes from primary schools, secondary schools, and affiliated secondary schools; Trung Vuong Primary, Secondary and High School competing in 12 sports.

The Phu Dong Sports Festival in Dong Ha City is a large-scale school sports festival organized to encourage and motivate students to regularly practice and compete in sports in schools, helping to improve their health and physical development; maintain and promote the physical training movement following the example of great Uncle Ho, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.
This is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their talents and competitive spirit in sports; at the same time, it is also an opportunity to demonstrate strength, evaluate the results of physical education and sports activities in schools, creating conditions for teachers and students in the city to exchange, learn, share experiences, and strengthen solidarity.
Phu Dong Sports Festival is also an opportunity to discover, select, train, and foster sports talents for the city and select excellent athletes for Dong Ha City teams to participate in the 7th Quang Tri Province Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024.
