"Absent-minded" passenger forgets more than 20 million VND on the bus

A passenger on a Transerco bus was happy to receive back more than 20 million VND and all personal documents he left behind on the bus.

According to the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco), while cleaning up to prepare for the next trip (bus route 50 from Long Bien to An Lac urban area), bus assistant Tran Thi Thu Hien and driver Nguyen Minh Dan (belonging to Bus Company 10-10) discovered a black handbag left behind by a passenger.

Bus staff discovered a passenger left his bag on the bus.

Checking her bag, Ms. Hien found more than 21 million VND in cash and many other valuable items. The female employee called the route operator to report the incident. At the same time, the route operator also received information from the customer service department informing that a customer had left something behind.

After seeing that the information provided by the passenger matched the information on the citizen identification card and other documents in the bag, the route operator returned it to the passenger.

The driver and the bus attendant worked together to return the bag to the customer.

The owner of the bag was happy and touched to receive the forgotten items. She said that she had to travel by plane the next day for work and needed her personal documents. She expressed her sincere thanks to the honest and dedicated staff for helping the customer receive all the belongings left in the car.
