Recalling the day they met, Ngoc Lam shared that the two worked together before but had never met face to face. One was in the lighting area, the other was on stage. Until they both participated in the casting of the movie Thanh Wolf , Xuan Lan's plate of boiled sweet potatoes was the dish that brought them together.

The two came together late, so when answering the question about their past relationships, both admitted... it was them. Through that, the stories of director Ngoc Lam and supermodel Xuan Lan gradually revealed. The gratin dish evoked Ngoc Lam's work, seemingly simple but colorful and creative inside.

Ngoc Lam's major is producer and director. He took a lighting directing class to supplement his work, and when he returned to Vietnam, he had a chance to work in this profession. To him, light is not just color but emotion, a story to be told.

Ngoc Lam revealed: "Lan was never my type", so he didn't know much about his wife's job or Xuan Lan's fame. Even after they got married, he was still surprised every time they went out together: "Wife, how does everyone know you?!".

His hometown, the eggplant tree, the rainy days when he rolled up his pants to go to school and especially the hard-working mother who raised a bunch of children by herself are memories that made Ngoc Lam emotional.

Xuan Lan shared that her mother-in-law came to visit her during Tet last year. In her eyes, her mother-in-law is a very emotional person, who has sacrificed her whole life for her children, and now still worries about her children and grandchildren. "I want to thank you, Mom," Xuan Lan sent her mother-in-law a simple yet profound message through the program.

Ngoc Lam shared that before getting married, he did not believe in marriage. It was not until he met Tho and Lan that he realized the value of family, because Lan not only cared about her husband but also his family.

During the program, both guests spent a lot of time sharing about the important third person, which was little Tho. When the two met, Xuan Lan had no intention of getting married again, but Ngoc Lam took the initiative to ask to meet Tho.

The first day she brought her child to Ngoc Lam's house, seeing him prepare a gift for her child and seeing her child's happy smile, Xuan Lan felt the man's heart open to her child.

The surprise gift that the program brings is a clip about two children in difficult circumstances. Little Khoi lives in Can Tho with his grandparents, dreaming of working as a construction worker to save money for his grandmother's medical treatment.
