Since May, information about the iPhone 17 Air has been shared: a report from The Information said that Apple will release an ultra-thin iPhone model called the iPhone 17 Air in 2025 to replace the iPhone 17 Plus with a 6.6-inch screen, upgraded to ProMotion technology, 120Hz refresh rate (twice as high as the iPhone 16 Plus), providing a better gaming and movie viewing experience.

At that time, sources said, the iPhone 17 Air had a starting price of around $ 1,200 and was higher than the Pro Max line.

Sources reveal: iPhone 17 Air may be equipped with a TDDI OLED screen to bring the thinnest design ever. It is known that the TDDI OLED screen (Touch and Display Driver Intergration) was recently launched by Taiwanese company Novatek. TDDI technology combines the touch sensor and driver into one layer to create an ultra-thin panel. Thanks to this solution, the smartphone reduces the thickness by a few millimeters.

According to 9to5mac, the 17 Air could be about 6mm thin, which means that the battery capacity, the number of camera lenses, and some other parameters are cut, so selling at a high price is unreasonable. This site also predicts that the device will fall to around $ 899, equal to the iPhone 16 Plus.

The iPhone 17 Air is also expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, 12GB of RAM, a 24MP front camera, and possibly even an under-display Face ID sensor...
