According to multiple sources, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to have larger screen sizes this year, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be the same size as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

3D model photos have just appeared for the first time, showing the size difference between the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro launched last year.

The iPhone 16 Pro is said to have a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch display. In contrast, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively.

The remaining images also give more details about the location of the dedicated camera button, which is similar in size to the power button.

Apple plans to replace the toggle/vibration button on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus with an Action button, which was previously reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro models. However, the image shows that the new Action button will be larger than the one on the current iPhone Pro models.

It is worth noting that the rear camera has been redesigned, information that has long been rumored, now has further confirmation in the newly appeared 3D model image of the iPhone 16. The pill-shaped protrusion houses separate wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses on both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, no longer located on the diagonal of the square module like the iPhone 15. The microphone is located between the two lenses, while the camera flash is located on the back of the device, outside the camera module.

In addition to the above details, all 4 iPhone 16 models are expected to have a completely new button dedicated to taking photos and recording videos - the "Capture button" located on the same side as the power button.

Rumors suggest that the shutter button will be mechanical rather than capacitive. According to The Information , it will respond to pressure and touch, similar to the shutter button on a professional camera, with two stages: a light press to focus and more force to take a photo. The "capture button" will have functions like adjusting focus and zoom in addition to triggering photo and video capture.

Apple believes the new button will be a highlight of the ‌iPhone 16‌ lineup, and it is being introduced to encourage iPhone users to shoot more videos. Apple will also focus on developing new video-capturing features to boost sales of the new generation of iPhones.

The iPhone 16 series is expected to be released next September. Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max versions will have powerful camera upgrades, support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Advance connectivity, and a graphene cooling system. The iPhone 16 series will likely support generative AI, allowing users to interact with chatbots or create text images right on the phone.
