The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has not confirmed the possibility of a friendly match with world champions Argentina on June 19 in Jakarta.
Yesterday, May 22, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) confirmed a friendly match with Indonesia by posting an announcement on its official website. Meanwhile, PSSI did not respond to the issue.
PSSI President Erick Thohir said he did not know anything yet, while Arya Sinulingga - member of the PSSI Executive Committee - argued to CNN Indonesia : "We cannot guarantee until there is a clear decision."

Argentina have confirmed they will play two friendlies during their Asian tour in June. The reigning World Cup champions will face Australia in Beijing, China on June 15 and then Indonesia on June 19.
Indonesia has just confirmed its match schedule for FIFA days in June, which is against Palestine on June 14. The U22 team, which just won the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games, will play a friendly match against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea on June 17.
According to CNN Indonesia , it is likely that PSSI and AFA have not yet agreed on some terms. First, the match is unlikely to take place at Gelora Bung Karno – Indonesia’s largest stadium in the capital Jakarta with a capacity of 80,000 seats. In addition, the possibility of superstar Lionel Messi playing is not guaranteed.
The newspaper cited the incident when Barcelona won 3-1 against Malaysia on August 10, 2013 at Shah Alam Stadium. However, Messi did not play even though he had been training the day before. Later, Johor Darul Tazim Club President Tunku Ismail said that Messi did not play because the field did not meet international standards.
Bola newspaper reported that PSSI agreed to spend 5 million USD (about 120 billion VND) to invite Argentina to play a friendly match, with financial support from new President Erick Thohir - a billionaire who used to be the president of Inter Milan Club.
