The ASEAN All-Stars team has two naturalized players: center back Kan Mo and forward Nieto Rondon (Cambodia). The Cambodian Football Federation (FFC) agreed to send these two players at the request of coach Kim Sang-sik. As of this afternoon (April 17), the list of the ASEAN All-Stars team has seven players announced from Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Timor Leste.

"In response to the request of coach Kim Sang-sik through the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), the Football Federation of Cambodia agreed to send two players Kan Mo and Nieto Rondon to represent the Cambodian national team to participate in the ASEAN All-Stars to play an international friendly match with Manchester United on May 28," the Football Federation of Cambodia announced.

Kan Mo (formerly Mohammed Faeez Khan) was born in 1992 in South Africa and currently plays for Visakha Club. He became a Cambodian citizen in 2024 and will play for the national team in the AFF Cup. Kan Mo was appointed captain of the Cambodian team by head coach Koji Gyotoku. Kan Mo also played in the friendly match against Vietnam in March.

Colombian striker Nieto Rondon is playing for Phnom Penh Crown. This player has a goal in the AFF Cup 2024 in the match against Thailand.

Also today, April 17, the Myanmar Football Federation announced a representative to join the Southeast Asian star team. That is striker Maung Maung Lwin (born in 1995). This player is playing for Lamphun Warriors (Thailand) and is the captain of the Myanmar national team.

In addition, the Lao Football Federation announced that captain Bouphachan Bounkong is the only Lao player to be included in the ASEAN All-Stars team.

The players previously announced are Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Duc (Vietnam) and Joao Pedro (Timor Leste). Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, Philippines and Brunei have not announced representatives.

The Malaysian and Thai leagues are both scheduled to end in April, but Johor Darul Tazim (Malaysia) and Buriram United (Thailand) still have matches in the AFC Champions League Elite. The Indonesian league ends in May, a few days before the ASEAN All Star take on Man Utd.

Last week, Manchester United announced its 2025 summer tour, which will include Southeast Asia. The Premier League giants will play against the ASEAN All-Stars at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on May 28.
