Tennis legend Andre Agassi comes to Vietnam to play pickleball.

On March 26, former tennis player who won 8 Grand Slams, Andre Agassi, came to Ho Chi Minh City to attend an exchange session as part of his pickleball tour in Vietnam and Asia.

In addition to Andre Agassi, the event also attracted many other big names in the pickleball and tennis world, such as Ben Joins (number 1 pickleball player with 123 PPA titles), Ana Bright (ranked 13th in the US), Collin Johns, Brooker Buckner, Chao Yi (Zoey) Wang,...

Sharing with Vietnamese media about his first visit to Vietnam, legend Andre Agassi said: "In my tennis career, I have been to many places but only now have I had the opportunity to come to Vietnam, that is truly a regret for me."

"I know that the source of energy, inspiration and love for pickleball in Vietnam is very large. That makes me very happy to be in Vietnam to share experiences and exchange techniques so that everyone can better understand this sport in Vietnam," the American tennis legend continued.

Andre Agassi was born in 1970 and started playing professional tennis in 1986. During his 30 years of playing, he won 8 Grand Slam championships, 1 ATP Finals championship and the 1996 Olympic gold medal.

In 2006, Agassi announced his retirement, turned to coaching, and started playing a new, growing sport: pickleball. He and his wife Steffi Graf are a famous pickleball couple, having won many titles in the United States.

Ben Joins is the number 1 pickleball player with 123 PPA titles and 108 consecutive singles wins.

Also during the exchange, world number 1 pickleball player, Ben Joins, was surprised by the enthusiasm of Vietnamese fans for a pickleball event.

“I started playing pickleball in 2016. Up to now, I have had a long and impressive journey because more and more people are participating in this sport, not only in Vietnam but it seems to have become a trend worldwide. I hope pickleball will develop more," said Ben Joins.
