Krong Nang district launched a response to the peak month "For the poor" in 2024

On November 8, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district to organize the launching ceremony to respond to the peak month "For the poor" in 2024.

The peak month "For the poor" in 2024 is a meaningful and practical activity to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024), and at the same time is an opportunity for all levels, branches, agencies, units, enterprises, businessmen, philanthropists and all ethnic people in the district to demonstrate the spirit of "Mutual love, mutual affection, "The whole leaves cover the torn leaves".

Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Tran Minh Chau presented the "Golden Heart" recognition plaque and flowers to thank the benefactors.

Currently, the district has 6,520 poor households and 3,486 near-poor households, of which more than 1,000 households have housing difficulties and need support and help to improve their lives. From 2019 to now, the district's "For the Poor" Fund has received support from individuals and groups with an amount of more than 3.86 billion VND. From this fund, 398 Great Solidarity houses have been built for people with housing difficulties; supporting poor households on holidays and Tet, along with other social security activities.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Tran Minh Chau sincerely thanked the precious sentiments and noble gestures of agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists who have actively responded to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security programs in the district in the past time.

To continue to effectively implement the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind" and the campaign to build the Fund "For the poor", the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee hopes that organizations and individuals continue to promote the spirit of solidarity "Mutual love and affection", "The whole leaves cover the torn leaves", join hands and wholeheartedly support the Fund "For the poor" to help and share the difficulties of policy families and the poor, for a society without poor households.

All levels, sectors and localities coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, unions, departments and offices of the district to effectively organize the implementation of the Peak Month "For the Poor"; continue to carefully and accurately review and appraise poor households, near-poor households, families with housing difficulties, and dilapidated houses with the requirement of "3 no's" (no wrong subjects, no missing subjects and no petitions or complaints).

Delegates attended the launching ceremony to raise funds to support the district's "For the Poor" Fund.

The launching ceremony of the "For the Poor" Peak Month 2024 has profound humanitarian significance, opening up opportunities for many poor and near-poor households, families with meritorious services to the revolution who have difficulty in housing to have new houses, have a stable life, reduce hardships, and move towards a better life; at the same time, contributing to propaganda, education, and arousing the spirit of great national unity.

At the ceremony, agencies, units, organizations, individuals, businesses and localities donated more than 1.1 billion VND to the District's "For the Poor" Fund; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district presented a plaque of recognition for "Golden Heart" and flowers to express gratitude for the support of organizations and individuals who have contributed to the District's "For the Poor" Fund.
