“Spring Book Fair - Career Guidance in the AI Era” is the name of an extracurricular program organized by Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary and High School (Thanh Hoa City) in collaboration with the Faculty of Robotics Engineering, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Ms. Le Thi Bich, Principal of Dong Bac Ga Primary, Secondary and High School shared: “In the face of changes in career trends as well as the strong development of artificial intelligence, science - engineering and technology will be the main driving force for socio-economic development in the current period... Therefore, the program "Spring Book Fair - Career Guidance in the AI era" not only aims to develop a reading culture but also equips students with knowledge about AI, automation, science - engineering, data science... so that students can promptly access and easily choose the right direction in the context of artificial intelligence strongly impacting all fields and careers".
Not only integrating career counseling and guidance for students into the main subjects and classroom activities, Quang Ngoc Secondary School (Quang Xuong) also organizes separate career counseling sessions. From there, based on their abilities and strengths, along with understanding social needs, students can understand the requirements and development trends of human resources in the future, thereby choosing a suitable career.
Mr. Le Van Tinh, the school principal, shared: “Career guidance is not simply providing information but also a journey of supporting, equipping knowledge, skills and methods for students to explore their interests and abilities, thereby clearly defining their favorite career. The school has closely coordinated with parents to ensure that the choice of career is suitable for students' abilities and family economic conditions, contributing to building a high-quality workforce and meeting the development needs of society.”
Currently, facing major changes in the labor market, universities are constantly adjusting their training programs to meet practical needs. In 2025, many universities have opened new training majors, especially interdisciplinary fields, combining technology and economics, management, etc. In order to provide career guidance for students, helping them choose a career that suits their interests as well as the practical needs of society, To Hien Thanh High School (Thanh Hoa City) has implemented many meaningful and practical career guidance activities.
Vice Principal Ha Thi Anh Dao said: “In addition to career guidance classes in the main curriculum, the school also organizes flag-raising activities; invites successful students of the school to share their practical experiences; lets students participate in career guidance and counseling programs organized by universities... thereby helping them have a more realistic view of the profession they are interested in, and at the same time helping them grasp changes in career trends in today's society.”
Mai Thinh Hung, a student of class 11B9 at To Hien Thanh High School, said: "Through career guidance activities, I have gained more useful knowledge about professions, better understood new majors, career prospects, and from there, I have an orientation to choose a subject combination that is suitable for the admission combination of the university I want."
Streamlining and career guidance for students is one of the important solutions to develop reasonable human resources, helping them clearly define their goals and specific directions, thereby saving time, effort and costs.
