Hamas has unexpectedly spoken out about the possibility of a permanent ceasefire . Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said that the force is ready to accept a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip in accordance with the principles of President Biden's plan.

In a televised address to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, Haniyeh said Hamas and Palestinian factions were ready for a comprehensive agreement that would include a ceasefire, a withdrawal from Gaza, reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure and a comprehensive agreement on the exchange of hostages and detainees.

Mr. Haniyeh affirmed that Hamas had shown “great seriousness and flexibility” to reach an agreement to prevent bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.

According to the head of Hamas, the force's response to the latest proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza is in line with the principles set out in President Biden's plan.

Houthis claim to have attacked a US warship . Houthi forces announced that they had launched missiles at a US destroyer and a cargo ship in the Red Sea, and used drones to attack another ship in the Arabian Sea.

" Missile and naval units launched two operations in the Red Sea, including a ballistic missile attack on a US destroyer ," Houthi spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced.

Houthi forces also launched a series of anti-ship missiles at the Captain Paris cargo ship in the Red Sea, and used drones to attack the Happy Condor cargo ship in the Arabian Sea, which the group said "violated the ban on docking" in Israel.

Israel warns of escalating tensions with Hezbollah . Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Daniel Hagari warned that continued fighting between the force and Hezbollah could have "serious consequences for the region".

" Hezbollah is increasing the frequency of its attacks against Israel. Since the war with Hamas began, Hezbollah has launched more than 5,000 rockets and UAVs in the Lebanese border area. This escalation by the organization could have serious consequences for Lebanon and the region, " said Mr. Hagari.

The IDF spokesman stressed that the Israeli army will take all measures to protect civilians until security on the border with Lebanon is restored.

Israel conflicted over ceasefire . Prime Minister Netanyahu criticized the Israeli military over the tactical ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has criticized the Israeli military's announcement of a daily tactical ceasefire along a key route into the Gaza Strip, aimed at facilitating the delivery of humanitarian supplies.

" When the prime minister learned about the plan for a tactical ceasefire in the morning, he told the military that this was unacceptable ," an Israeli official revealed.

Local media reported that the military's decision had not yet been presented to the cabinet, and that it had upset some officials. The military later assured Prime Minister Netanyahu that the military operation in Rafah would continue.

" We are a country with an army, not a military regime ," Netanyahu said.
