(HNMO) - Implementing the strategic cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), on the afternoon of May 8, Global Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (Gtel Mobile) under the Global Telecommunications Technology Corporation (Gtel), the Ministry of Public Security signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Network Infrastructure Corporation under the VNPT Group.
Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony.
The basic contents of the cooperation agreement include: Cooperation in sharing telecommunications infrastructure; cooperation in sharing network bandwidth; research and deployment of new generation mobile telecommunications networks; sharing experiences in the fields of digital transformation, information technology and telecommunications; support in training human resources, etc.
According to the leaders of Gtel and VNPT, the cooperation agreement is a big step forward for both sides, demonstrating the companionship of both sides in many fields, including cooperation in developing shared telecommunications infrastructure based on each other's strengths to deploy the construction of a new generation mobile telecommunications network following the general trend of the world, thereby providing comprehensive digital transformation solutions and essential technical and telecommunications services to serve society and people.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang affirmed that the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Global Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company and the Network Infrastructure Corporation not only creates a legal basis, contributing to strongly promoting the coordination and cooperation relationship between Gtel Mobile and member units of VNPT, but also concretizes and effectively implements the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Public Security and VNPT Group. Thereby, actively contributing to protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, serving socio-economic development, especially implementing the policy of digital transformation, building a digital government, digital society, and digital economy.
To effectively implement the agreement, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control and VNPT Group urgently direct their affiliated units to develop implementation plans for each specific task, clearly defining progress, responsibilities and results achieved. At the same time, it is necessary to have a mechanism to monitor, urge and ensure the implementation of the plan based on the strengths and resources of each side, regularly exchange, jointly remove difficulties and obstacles and propose issues arising beyond their authority so that cooperation becomes increasingly effective and substantive.
