According to PhoneArena , at the moment, Honor has not given a time frame for when it might IPO or even named which market its shares will be listed on. In a statement, the company said its market position has improved over the past three years and that an IPO would be the next step in the company's development.

It is known that a year after leaving Huawei and no longer being affected by US sanctions, by August 2021, Honor became the third largest smartphone brand in China. Last year, the company was the second largest smartphone brand in China and in the third quarter of 2023, Honor was the leading brand in this country with 11.8 million units sold. In Europe, Honor was the fifth most popular smartphone brand in the third quarter.
Honor has made a splash with a variety of products, including the Magic V2 book-style foldable phone, and the company is also developing a clamshell-style foldable phone for launch in 2024.
Shenzhen-based Honor said it seeks to “continue to optimize its shareholding structure, attract diversified capital sources and participate in the capital raising market through an IPO.” The company will also make changes to its board of directors “to ensure greater diversity to meet relevant regulatory and management requirements.”
It is known that in the third quarter, Honor led the Chinese smartphone market with 18% market share, followed by Oppo, Apple and Vivo when all three accounted for 16% market share. Xiaomi ranked 5th with 14%.
