Today, the National Assembly reviewed personnel work and closed the 5th session.

Specifically, on the morning of June 24, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.

At the same time, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level. The Minister of Public Security explained and clarified a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

At the end of the morning session and the beginning of the afternoon session, the National Assembly held separate meetings on personnel work.

Also on the afternoon of June 24, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City; voted to pass the Resolution on questioning and answering questions.

In addition, the Resolution on the results of thematic supervision of "mobilization, management and use of resources for Covid-19 prevention and control; implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine" was also voted on.

Voting to pass the Resolution of the 5th session, 15th National Assembly (which stipulates: Adjusting the investment policy of Ka Pet Reservoir Project, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province; continuing to implement the policy of reducing value added tax by 2% according to Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 and the policy of investing in additional charter capital for the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam).

At the end of the session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue delivered a closing speech at the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The 15th National Assembly will solemnly open on May 22, 2023 and close on June 24, 2023 in the form of a concentrated meeting at the National Assembly House, Hanoi. The 5th session will be held in 2 phases: Phase 1: from May 22 to June 10, 2023; Phase 2: from June 19 to June 24, 2023 (from June 11 to June 18, 2023, the National Assembly will be on recess so that the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies have time to absorb, revise and complete the draft law and draft Resolution).

At this session, the National Assembly considered and approved 8 draft laws and 3 draft resolutions, including: Law on Consumer Rights Protection (amended); Law on Bidding (amended); Law on Prices (amended); Law on Electronic Transactions (amended); Law on Cooperatives (amended); Law on Civil Defense; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam;

Resolution on the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2024, adjusting the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2023; Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 85 on taking a vote of confidence, voting for confidence in people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly and People's Councils; Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Also at this session, the National Assembly reviewed and commented on 9 draft laws, including: Land Law (amended) (second opinion); Real Estate Business Law (amended); Housing Law (amended); Water Resources Law (amended); Telecommunications Law (amended); Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; Citizen Identification Law (amended); Law on Credit Institutions (amended); Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level .
