Hanoi announces 10th grade enrollment plan for private schools

In the 2025-2026 school year, private high schools and self-financed public high schools in Hanoi will apply the selection method to enroll 10th grade students.

The school's admissions council develops an admission plan based on the admission scores of students participating in the entrance exam for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in the 2024-2025 school year (the exam takes place on June 7 and 8, 2025); the training and learning results of students at the junior high school level (recorded in the student's transcript).

Accordingly, some schools consider admission using both methods (using exam results and transcripts), while others only use one method.

Students can look up the admission plans of each school in the table below.

Students are not allowed to change their admission wishes after registration.

Today, junior high schools and vocational education and continuing education centers have collected "Application forms for admission to grade 10 of high school for the 2025-2026 school year" from grade 9 students studying at their units. At the same time, schools also organized the issuance of student codes and passwords to grade 9 students so that they can prepare to register for admission to grade 10.

According to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in the 2025-2026 school year, each student can register to apply to a maximum of 3 public high schools, ranked in order of preferences 1, 2 and 3. In which preferences 1 and 2 must be in the prescribed enrollment area; preferences 3 can be in any enrollment area.

If a student only registers for 2 wishes to 2 public high schools, he/she must register the first wish to a school in the prescribed enrollment area, and the second wish to a school in any enrollment area.

If a student only registers for 1 wish at 1 public high school, he/she can register at any school in the admission area.

Before submitting the application form for grade 10, students need to carefully consider their wishes and review all the content of the form to ensure that the registration information is accurate and in accordance with regulations, because students are not allowed to change their application wishes after registration.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi city will have about 127,000 9th grade students participating in the junior high school graduation exam.
