National Academy of Public Administration awards degrees to 17 PhDs in Public Administration

The National Academy of Public Administration is the first institution in Vietnam to train PhDs in public administration and masters in public administration. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Trieu Van Cuong, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, said that the Academy is not only a national center for training cadres, civil servants and public employees for the political system, but has truly become a major training center of the country for PhDs and Masters in Public Management, Public Policy, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, Economic Management, etc.

According to Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Trieu Van Cuong, the training of doctoral and master's degrees at the National Academy of Public Administration has many special features, because many of the Academy's students are officials, civil servants, and public employees who want to improve their specialized knowledge to perform public duties, perform tasks with higher quality, and improve the depth of knowledge in staff work, leadership, and management.

"Therefore, the training of doctoral and master's degrees of the Academy in this aspect contributes to creating resources and improving the quality of human resources for the civil service and the political system in the long term" - the Deputy Minister emphasized.

There were 17 new PhDs in Management recognized on this occasion.

Receiving degrees on this occasion were 17 new PhDs in Public Management and 266 new Masters in the following fields: Public Management; Finance - Banking; Constitutional Law and Administrative Law; Economic Management; Public Policy.

That is the focus on training quality, standards, dedication, responsibility, and professionalism of the teaching staff and management staff in the training process.

“With doctoral training - the highest level of the national education system and master's training - the training level to contribute to building and forming a team of scientists, the National Academy of Public Administration is always aware of the need to care for and pay the highest and most complete attention” - the Director of the National Academy of Public Administration affirmed and added that the Academy organizes doctoral and master's training with the principle of "taking the development of people's capacity as a measure, taking the quality of training as a goal to strive for, taking the teaching staff as a driving force, taking program innovation as the foundation and taking standards in management as a consistent orientation".
