This is a series of career guidance and education events for middle and high school students held in 22 districts, Thu Duc City, each place organizes 1 festival day.
By attending the festival, students and parents will receive detailed advice and answers to questions about choosing a school and career that suits their abilities. Thereby, the festival contributes to the implementation of the functions and tasks of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Education and Training in effectively implementing the socio-economic development targets in the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the period 2020 - 2025.
Experts and speakers participate in consulting parents and students at the vocational education and career orientation fair.
Parents and students will be provided with information related to career orientation, student streaming after graduating from high school, continuing to study at vocational education levels; information on human resource needs of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces. In addition, students and parents will receive specific advice on tuition fees, training forms, training time, knowledge and skills, titles achieved after graduation, and opportunities for higher education in each training field from vocational education institutions.
This series of activities is meaningful in contributing to determining the appropriate conditions and abilities of students who will choose their future majors, helping to build their future careers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City Le Van Thinh said that the classification of students after secondary school is of special importance to each individual and the whole society. This contributes to providing human resources with a structure suitable to the needs of the economy, creating opportunities for lifelong learning for everyone, towards building a learning society.
"We want to create conditions and opportunities for parents and students of junior high schools and high schools in each locality to access information about job opportunities for vocational education human resources, about the directions for students after graduating from high school that are suitable for their abilities and strengths. At each location, in addition to the consulting program on the main stage, there will also be the participation of consulting, answering questions, and providing information from other vocational education institutions," Mr. Thinh added.
Opening ceremony of the festival
At the festival, Mr. Mai Nguyen Bao Son, Secretary of the Youth Union of Saigontourist College of Tourism and Hospitality, said that students and parents who come to the school's booth for consultation will participate in many activities and receive attractive gifts. In addition, according to Mr. Son, the school trains tourism-related professions such as tour guides, restaurant and hotel management, pastry chefs, etc.
