Asian School students receive US university scholarships

Le Son Nam won scholarships from 10 universities in the US, estimated to be worth about 20 billion VND.

Sharing about this joy, Le Son Nam said: "I feel touched and extremely happy because all my efforts have been rewarded.

Because applying to 10 universities is quite a challenge. I had to perfect my essays carefully and pay attention to many small details, as well as focus on the tests that universities require, such as the SAT or IELTS."

Not only does he shine in academics, the male student also actively participates in career guidance activities. He is also a member of science and technology, chess, Chinese chess and vovinam martial arts clubs.

At the same time, Son Nam also aims to contribute to the community and society by participating in the "Nuoi Em Moc Chau project" and extracurricular research activities at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, composing musical works that have been broadcast on the Voice of Vietnam Radio.

Currently, Son Nam is spending time reviewing to prepare for the 2024 high school graduation exam. This talented young man is cherishing the dream of becoming a neuroscience expert at Purdue University - one of the most prestigious universities in the US in this field.

When asked about the reason for choosing to pursue this field of study, the 18-year-old boy confided: "I read the research paper of the University of Pittsburgh in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon on restoring movement by implanting electrodes into the spinal nervous system and was very inspired. I believe this is a field with great potential and can bring many benefits to the community."
