Peaceful foreign policy

Vietnam’s foreign policy is known by many names: diversification, multilateralization, and the “Vietnamese bamboo” identity. Another term for this policy is the peaceful foreign policy. During the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam has continued to develop and demonstrate the results of this policy.
Vietnam’s international partnerships have expanded, including new comprehensive strategic partnerships with South Korea, the United States, Japan and Australia. In particular, relations with the United States are at their best ever. At the same time, Vietnam has effectively fostered closer ties with China and jointly prevented regional disputes from escalating.
With the international community, Vietnam has an approach that respects international law and the UN Charter, bringing hope to resolve global conflicts peacefully.
In the context of the potential for conflict in the world and many challenges, I believe that Vietnam's foreign relations will adapt to these challenges in the next phase while continuing to promote diplomatic principles for peace.
