Hoi An Park - one of the largest "green projects" in Thanh Hoa City and associated with the loyal twinning relationship between Thanh Hoa City and Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province) has officially completed upgrading and renovating to serve all classes of people in time for the New Year and Spring.

On the morning of January 19, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the project to renovate and upgrade Hoi An Park. Attending were comrade Le Anh Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa City Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Quang Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments and branches and a large number of Thanh Hoa City people.

The Hoi An Park upgrading and renovation project, one of the four key projects of Thanh Hoa City under the special mechanism in Resolution No. 303/2022/NQ-HDND dated July 13, 2022 of the Provincial People's Council, was started on May 19, 2024. The project has a total investment of more than 155.6 billion VND with the scale of investment in renovating and upgrading the technical infrastructure system in the park with an area of ​​19.37 hectares.

The project is divided into 5 main areas, each area has its own cultural significance associated with each historical figure and event, such as: Area A is associated with the memorial area of ​​President Ho Chi Minh; Area B is the People's sports and physical training area; Area C is the park area including hills, carpets of trees with typical trees of the province; Area D and the main gate at Le Loi Avenue is the area associated with the loyal and faithful relationship between the people of Thanh Hoa - Hoi An cities, including works such as: Chua Cau, Hoi An ancient town version, the main gate at Le Loi Avenue is designed in the new architectural style of Hoi An and supplemented with typical trees and flower carpets of Hoi An city; Area E is the central area that has been renovated but retains the planning idea with the central circle and the symbol of Yin Yang - Sun and Moon in traditional spiritual life. This is considered one of the largest "green projects" in Thanh Hoa City and is associated with the mark of the loyal and faithful twinning relationship between Thanh Hoa City and Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province).

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee Nguyen Viet Hung thanked the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments, branches and contractors for their efforts and determination to complete the project ahead of schedule. Up to now, after nearly 9 months of construction, the project has been basically completed with the volume of items and works according to the approved scale, shortening the construction time, promptly serving the needs of all classes of people on the occasion of Tet and spring. The renovation and upgrading of the park combines traditional and modern elements in the direction of enhancing utilities serving the people with a system of modern equipment, such as: Smart water purifiers, smart toilets, automatic watering systems, automatic opening and closing gate systems, security camera management systems spread throughout the park areas.

In order to effectively manage, preserve, operate and exploit the park according to regulations, the Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee requested the People's Committees of Lam Son, Dien Bien and Truong Thi wards to effectively propagate urban civilization, strengthen state management of urban order, environmental sanitation and security and order in the park area. Units assigned to manage, operate and exploit the park must promptly complete the management and protection regulations; operation and operation plans at the park.
