Magnetism represents tolerance, simplicity, discretion and closeness to people thanks to ancestor worship, a harmony between Buddhism and Confucianism.
Pursuing the Post-Impressionist school, painter Nguyen Thanh Vu wishes to convey the vitality, enthusiasm, youthfulness and peace through his works. With a great passion for the country's cultural history, following the collection "Vietnamese Mysteries", this collection "Tu Tinh Tu Linh" will introduce the sacred animal images in the culture of the ancient Vietnamese people (Ly Dynasty) to the present.

Talking about the process of creating the work, artist Nguyen Anh Vu said that he encountered many limitations in terms of materials. “There are still many Nguyen Dynasty heritages, but the works from the Le, Ly, and Tran dynasties have been significantly damaged,” Vu added.
During the process, Nguyen Anh Vu traveled to many places in the country to experience the space and artifacts such as Hue Imperial City, Thang Long Imperial Citadel... He even went abroad to Cambodia and Thailand to learn about Cham art, to understand the difference between Cham art in Vietnam and neighboring countries.
“At each place I visit, I feel the context, space, and time there. What leaves me with the most emotions are the traces of time and environment on the animal statues… That is also the emotion that makes me create this collection,” artist Nguyen Anh Vu shared.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Le Xuan Kieu - Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam highly appreciated the young artist's dedication and love for history and traditional culture.
“Nguyen Anh Vu has traveled to every corner of the country, researching historical and cultural values. The exhibition is the result of the author’s serious artistic work. This also demonstrates the young artist’s perspective on history and culture, thereby creating creative works, helping young people easily access heritage,” said Mr. Le Xuan Kieu.
