On the evening of November 3, during an online exchange with fans, Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen shared interesting things about her journey to participate in Miss Universe 2024.

The Vietnamese representative said that thanks to finishing her activities early during the day, she had time to chat with the audience. To appear perfectly in front of the camera, Ky Duyen usually wakes up from 4am to 4:30am, spending about 2.5 hours to carefully prepare everything from her outfit to her makeup and hairstyle.

Ky Duyen wants to always be well-groomed in front of the public and the media, creating a good impression in the eyes of the audience and other contestants.

Regarding makeup and hair, Ky Duyen said that each contestant is supported by a professional team, but in the morning, they will prepare themselves. If they need a more elaborate hairstyle or makeup style, the contestants can ask the team for more help.

With 130 contestants participating, the organizers extended the schedule so that each contestant had enough time to prepare thoroughly. Luckily, Ky Duyen was scheduled to compete early, giving her more time to rest and prepare for the next activities.

Ky Duyen is excited to meet international friends and explore new cultures. “Due to our busy schedules, my roommate - Miss Universe Samoa (Haylani Kuruppu) - and I have only had time to talk much in the last 1-2 days,” she shared.

Miss Vietnam 2014 also revealed the "healthy" diet provided by the organizers, including dishes such as salad, chicken breast, egg whites, potatoes and fruit. "I think the contest wants to challenge the contestants' discipline with a bland, low-spice menu. Some people have responded because they are worried that this menu does not have enough energy for the busy schedule, but I feel comfortable because I am used to this regimen," she shared.

When asked about her rare use of red lipstick, Ky Duyen said she avoids using this color in the morning to maintain a youthful, fresh image. However, during filming sessions or special activities, she still chooses red lipstick to create a striking highlight.

The 73rd Miss Universe took place in Mexico from October 29 to November 17 with the participation of more than 120 contestants from all over the world. In addition to the official competitions, contestants also had the opportunity to explore and travel to famous places in Mexico.
