On the morning of September 9, Phong Chau bridge connecting Tam Nong and Lam Thao districts collapsed. Immediately after this serious incident, authorities arrived promptly to conduct rescue operations. Sharing the hardships of the rescue forces, at noon on September 9, many people supported the rescue forces with food, drinking water, etc. on duty at the scene.

People bring drinking water and milk to give to the forces on rescue missions.

Immediately after the Phong Chau bridge collapse, officers and soldiers of Military Region 2, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and functional forces quickly arrived at the scene, urgently deploying rescue forces and equipment. However, due to the high and fast-flowing river water, the rescue and search for missing victims encountered many difficulties.

Sharing the hardships of the rescue forces, at noon on September 9, many people joined hands and contributed food, drinks, etc. to the rescue forces on duty at the scene.

Currently, rescue forces are focusing on giving absolute priority to the search for missing people. When weather and current conditions permit, technical measures will be deployed to salvage vehicles; temporary pontoon bridges will be quickly deployed to ensure traffic.
