Van Quyet retires from Vietnam national team

The head coach of the Vietnamese team added: "I talked to Van Quyet before the match. He talked about his plan to stop playing. I called Van Quyet up to the national team this time because the team is lacking a striker. I also called Vi Hao to test with Tien Linh. The reason Hoang Duc was replaced early

Regarding replacing Hoang Duc early, the Korean coach said: " Hoang Duc does not guarantee 100% physical condition and performance. That is the reason he was replaced early. He needs to improve to play better in the future."

Coach Kim Sang-sik commented on the match: " Right at the beginning of the first half, we put new players on the field. I was quite satisfied with the first half. Even though we conceded a goal in the second half, the players still played hard until the last minute. I was satisfied with that."

Coach Roca added: "The Vietnamese team has interesting talents. Bui Vi Hao scored 2 goals against Nam Dinh. We know how dangerous he is. Van Quyet also played very well when he entered the field in the second half.

The Vietnamese players are faster than us. I told the players very clearly that either they control the ball or they will beat us. Overall, Vietnam has a quality squad with many good players. They are a very competitive team in the future.

- Did you ask the players to increase the speed of the match when you realized Vietnam's weakness?

In the first half, Vietnam was the team that completely dominated the field. When I entered the dressing room, I told the players that they had enough quality, enough qualities such as technique and physical strength to score. Our strength was shown in the equalizer. But towards the end of the match, the Vietnamese team accelerated and had more opportunities. Vietnam sent some quality players from the bench onto the field, we used more young players. This is a result that I am satisfied with.

Vietnam played better than us in the first half, but India played better in the second half. We had a few dangerous chances. I think 1-1 is a fair score given the situation on the pitch.
