On April 19, stage 15 of the 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup national cycling race - "Non Song Lien Mot Dai" HTV - Ton Dong A continued to take place with a 46.5 km long race right in the center of Buon Ma Thuot City ( Dak Lak ).

The atmosphere of the race was even more exciting with the appearance of Miss H'Hen Niê - a beauty icon associated with sports . Having accompanied the race many times, H'Hen Niê shared her special affection for cycling and her daily practice routine with her family on the saddle.

Also in the morning, fans were "warmed up" by an amateur race that brought together veteran racers such as Nguyen Nam Cuc, Huynh Mai Duy, and Do Tuan Anh - names that left their mark in previous seasons.

When the starting whistle blew, the professional racing team quickly accelerated. Team 620 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long and 620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long proactively controlled the speed to create an advantage for the main racer - Nick Kergozou - who won 7 stages and is holding the prestigious Green Jersey.

However, the big surprise happened in the final sprint. When Kergozou started to accelerate, Nguyen Van Binh - a young racer from Ho Chi Minh City New Group - quietly followed, then made a bold breakaway just a few meters from the finish line. In the decisive moment, Binh passed Kergozou by a hair's breadth, winning the first stage at this year's Television Cup and also becoming the first person to directly defeat the New Zealand "Sprint King" up to this point in the tournament.

This victory not only brings pride to the HCM City New Group team, but also opens up new hope for the country's cycling community about a generation of young racers capable of competing with top foreign players.

At the end of stage 15, the overall titles remained unchanged: The yellow jersey belonged to Mikhail Fokin (Loc Troi Group), the orange jersey was held by Nguyen Hoang Sang (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai), the green jersey was still held by Nick Kergozou, and the white jersey for the best young racer continued to be held by Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7).

Tomorrow, April 20, the race will enter stage 16 - the longest stage of the tournament this year with 190 km, starting from Buon Ma Thuot to Nha Trang. The mountainous terrain and weather of the Central Highlands promise to be a real test of the endurance and tactics of the racing teams.
