(Dan Tri) - Ruben Amorim told Man Utd fans that his team will play "without fear" in his first interview since being appointed as the club's new head coach.
The former Sporting CP boss is settling in at Old Trafford after arriving in Manchester on Monday (November 11) and is expected to take part in his first training session next week.
Amorim's first game in charge of Man Utd will be against Ipswich Town on November 24 and Amorim said fans will immediately see a brave and attack-minded team.

"We know it will take time. We will try to gain time with the matches, but we have to start from day one without fear, without thinking that the players are not used to playing like this. The players will start from day one with our ideas, no matter what. That is the goal," Amorim said.
Amorim is expected to deploy the 3-4-3 system that proved successful at Sporting, which is a change from the 4-3-3 system used by his predecessor Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag has often been criticised during his time in charge for building a squad without a clear plan, but Amorim says his version of Man Utd will have a strong “identity”.
He added: "The most important thing for me is identity. From day one, we will start with our identity. A lot of people now talk about 3-4-3 and 4-3-3 and all that. But when I think about Man Utd, it's not a system, it's more like the character of the players, how they see the club.
The most important thing for me right now is to create the principles, the identity, the character that we had in the past. So if I have to say one thing, my main goal, my first goal, is identity."
Amorim has not been able to join Man Utd's training session because he has not been granted a work visa (Photo: Getty).
Amorim and his team are still awaiting visas before they can officially start work. In the meantime, the Portuguese coach has been learning about the club's history and toured Old Trafford on Thursday.
In an effort to connect the players to the club and its history, Amorim said he would encourage the entire squad to do the same.
"When the players come here, they should do the same tour as the whole team. I think that's very important. One thing is that you have to feel that this is Man Utd and that's normal. If you don't win for many years, you start to lose that. So you have to be very clear about the message you want to send to the players. So I think we need to get all the players to do the same thing, to get that feeling back," Amorim said.
