Effectiveness of national target programs

The inter-village road in Huy Tan commune, Phu Yen district is concreted.

The total capital plan for the three New Rural Development Programs, Sustainable Poverty Reduction Programs and Socio-Economic Development Programs for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas from 2021 to present of Phu Yen district has been allocated over 436 billion VND; of which, over 256 billion VND has been disbursed. From this capital source, the district has allocated to build nearly 100 infrastructure works, support residential land, houses, production land and purchase equipment for production for the people.

Mr. Phan Quy Duong, Vice Chairman of Phu Yen District People's Committee, said: During the implementation process, ensuring high unity in direction and management, receiving consensus from the people. People actively contributed their efforts, donated land to build infrastructure and participated in socio-economic development projects, contributing to improving material and spiritual life as well as changing the face of the new countryside.

From the capital of the national target program on new rural construction, Nghia Hung village, Muong Coi commune, has invested in a lighting system worth more than 650 million VND. Mr. Ha Van Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: The lighting system put into operation contributes to ensuring security and order as well as helping people travel more conveniently... helping the village achieve the criteria of a model new rural village in 2023.

Over the past 4 years, by combining capital from three national target programs with other capital sources, Phu Yen district has invested in building 7 new concentrated clean water projects in extremely disadvantaged communes, with a total investment of nearly 23 billion VND. Of these, 6 projects have been put into use, contributing to increasing the rate of rural households using clean water in the whole district to more than 95%.

The classroom building of Tuong Tien Primary and Secondary School is invested in construction.

Talking about the benefits from the clean water project, Mr. Bac Cam Thiep, Thuong Lang village, Muong Lang commune, excitedly said: In the past, in the dry season, people in the village had a hard time due to lack of water for daily use, they had to store rainwater for use, but it was not enough. In 2022, the State built a water supply project for daily use, people can use clean water regularly every day, improving their quality of life.

Thanks to the effective use of capital from three national target programs, combined with other capital sources, currently, 100% of communes in Phu Yen district have solid roads to the commune center; irrigation and clean water systems are invested synchronously, meeting the production and living needs of the people. Villages far from the center have built solid classrooms, facilities and equipment at schools are constantly improved, basically meeting the requirements of teaching and learning. In addition, 100% of communes and towns have medical stations; 12 communes meet new rural standards, the poverty rate has decreased to 12.15%.

Effectively implementing national target programs, Phu Yen district has invested in the right focus and right target; promoted the effectiveness of projects... contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and improving people's lives.
