Hat boi on Ky Yen day usually consists of three acts: Khai chau dai boi, hat tuong and ton vuong, hoi chau. The last act is a congratulatory act. The first act is a ritual act such as purification, testing drums and beating the drum three times to open the stage. Hat tuong also usually has three singing acts: the first two acts can be scenes of chaos, loyal people being harmed by traitors, the king being usurped. But the last act requires justice to overcome evil. In the singing acts, there is usually a dignitary of the communal house, or a prestigious person in the community who holds the chau, who represents the gods and the audience, praising and criticizing with drum beats.

The folk performing art of hát bội in Vĩnh Long province has just received a decision to be included in the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
The festival here usually includes lion dance, dragon dance, folk games... People come to Ky Yen festival, in addition to praying for blessings, fortune, luck, longevity, it is also an opportunity to review the historical legends of our ancestors reclaiming land, building and protecting the country, and at the same time enjoy art programs such as opera, reformed opera...
