In recent times, the volunteer journey of young doctors in Quang Ninh has been extended to the most difficult areas of the province. The volunteer program of the Youth Union of the Department of Health is increasingly leaving many impressions on the people, especially in remote areas, borders, and islands.

The members of the Quang Ninh health sector are young doctors and nurses with strong political will and good moral qualities. In addition to investing in expertise, they always promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, and pioneering in collective activities as the core force.

Since the beginning of the year, the Youth Unions under the Department of Health have focused resources on implementing many meaningful volunteer programs. Among them, the program "Winter Warmth" and gift giving to people in difficult circumstances in 2023 in Don Dac commune (Ba Che district) has left many impressions and has deep meaning to the people in the area.

The delegation organized medical examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution for about 300 people in Don Dac commune, presented 20 gifts to families in difficult circumstances (worth 1 million VND/household and gifts); presented gifts to 20 poor students worth 500,000 VND/gift; visited and presented gifts to 3 families in difficult circumstances and 9 medical collaborators in villages and hamlets...

In March, grassroots health unions organized a program to examine and provide free medicine to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26 (1931-2023) for the elderly and people in difficult circumstances in Dong Son commune (Ha Long city). Examination, free medicine distribution, propaganda, dissemination, consultation, and community health education were provided to more than 100 elderly people and policy families and 10 gifts including cash and gifts, each worth 750,000 VND, were presented to 10 households in difficult circumstances.

The voluntary blood donation program launched by the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of provincial agencies and enterprises always has the contribution of young doctors and nurses, because more than anyone else, they understand the scarcity and value of voluntary drops of red blood for patients in critical condition.

As a team with a high knowledge base, the Youth Union members of the Department of Health always have many initiatives in the campaign "One idea, one creative initiative for each youth" posted on the Vietnam Youth Creative Idea Bank; volunteering to undertake scientific topics and experience initiatives in the fields of study, work, and research at agencies and units. In the first quarter of 2023, the Youth Union members participated in nearly 100 grassroots-level science and technology tasks and many provincial-level science and technology tasks.

Implementing the annual theme of the Youth Union of the Department of Health: "Young people in the health sector take the lead in participating in digital transformation to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services, and protect people's health", the branches have registered and implemented youth work to improve the application of information technology in the unit's operations, such as: Cashless payment system (using connection via bank and scanning dynamic QR code for payment); building a smart number taking and queuing system (deploying an electronic number taking system, queuing at the clinic using a waiting screen and guiding patients to wait in line); building an online registration system on the hospital's website (youth union members on duty at the switchboard support people to register); directly guiding people to come for medical examination and treatment using digital technology applications at the unit...

The activities of the Youth Union of the Department of Health always receive the attention, leadership and close direction of the Party Committee, the leaders of the Department and the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises.
