After 15 years of implementation, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” in Quang Nam has achieved many positive results. People’s awareness has changed, Vietnamese goods are more popular thanks to their quality and competitive prices. Enterprises focus on the domestic market, investing in improving product quality.
The propaganda and promotion of OCOP products and local specialties were promoted. Many trade promotion activities were organized, connecting businesses with domestic and foreign markets. The Department of Industry and Trade organized many fairs and Vietnamese goods markets with a revenue of 198 billion VND. Tourism combined with promotion of local products contributed to the growth of tourists.
The startup movement is developing, the creative startup festival attracts many booths and OCOP products, creating economic momentum. OCOP products, typical of the locality, are put on the e-commerce platform.
Market inspection and supervision work has been strengthened, violations have been strictly handled, consumers have been protected, and Vietnamese goods have been helped to affirm their position in the domestic market.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Tri Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of departments, branches, localities and enterprises in implementing the campaign, achieving many results over the past 15 years.
Mr. Thanh also pointed out challenges affecting the effectiveness of the campaign in the coming time such as: The competitiveness of enterprises in the province is still limited due to small-scale production, high costs, and difficulty in competing in the market; e-commerce has potential risks from poor quality products of unknown origin; the psychology of foreign goods, preferring cheap and beautiful goods of a segment of consumers...
Emphasizing the significance and role of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Le Tri Thanh requested departments, branches, units, and localities, together with the participation of enterprises and the support of all classes of people, to continue to promote the campaign for Vietnamese people to produce and consume Vietnamese goods.

On this occasion, the Steering Committee of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" of the province awarded 12 collectives with positive contributions in implementing the campaign over the past 15 years.
