Landslides following the 6.3 and 5.3 magnitude earthquakes in Bajhang district, which borders India, have cut off roads to the southern plains, Nepal's Home Ministry official Rama Acharya told Reuters.
The two earthquakes, concentrated in Talkot and Chainpur, occurred within 30 minutes of each other on the afternoon of October 3 (local time).

Police officer Dipesh Chaudhary said 17 people were injured, including 11 women and six men, and were being treated in hospital. He added that one woman was missing after being buried in a landslide caused by the earthquake.
