In 2024, industrial parks in Hai Duong attracted 50 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of 410 million USD. There were 32 FDI projects adjusting their investment capital, adding an additional 270 million USD. 13 new domestic direct investment (DDI) projects were granted investment certificates with a total registered capital of 3,452 billion VND, 13 DDI projects increased their capital by 1,055 billion VND.
By the end of 2024, Hai Duong had attracted 440 investment projects in industrial parks, including 331 FDI projects with a total capital of 6.6 billion USD and 92 DDI projects with a total capital of 19,282 billion VND.
To achieve impressive figures in attracting investment to industrial parks during difficult economic times, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board has actively improved the investment environment with many effective measures such as quickly resolving administrative procedures: 100% of records were resolved on time, of which 95% of records were resolved ahead of schedule, helping businesses save time and costs.
Investment promotion is carried out professionally with carefully prepared and multilingual documents introducing industrial zones. The Board actively participates in seminars, conferences and investment promotion trips in many countries such as the US, Korea, etc. Thanks to these efforts, Hai Duong not only attracts large projects but also enhances its reputation on the international investment map.
According to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Hai Duong is approved to develop 32 industrial parks with a total area of about 5,661 hectares.
To date, the province has established 17 industrial parks with a total area according to detailed planning of about 2,738 hectares. 12 out of 17 industrial parks have invested in infrastructure construction and business exploitation; 4 industrial parks are carrying out site clearance, infrastructure construction, and investment attraction; 1 industrial park is implementing related procedures to carry out site clearance.
With that development momentum, in 2025, Hai Duong Industrial Parks Management Board will continue to focus on attracting high-tech FDI projects and supporting industries. Enhance the attractiveness of approved industrial parks by completing site clearance early, speeding up infrastructure construction progress, and increasing occupancy rates in industrial parks. Continue to shorten the time for processing documents, increase transparency and professionalism, and provide maximum support to industrial park infrastructure investors and secondary investors.
With the firm steps and determination of the leadership and staff of Hai Duong Industrial Parks Management Board, in the coming time, Hai Duong industrial parks will accelerate investment attraction in accordance with the province's orientation and become a sustainable industrial center.
