In the announcement issued on the morning of March 24, the Provincial Forest Protection Department emphasized: According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from March 24 to 30, Hai Duong area will have no rain or light rain, insignificant rainfall, prolonged dry weather, low air humidity.
Forest fire forecast in Chi Linh city and Kinh Mon town has changed from level III (high level) to level IV (dangerous level), with a risk of large forest fires. If a fire occurs, the fire will spread quickly.
Hai Duong Forest Protection Department requested the Forest Protection Department of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town to continue to proactively advise the People's Committees of the city and town to effectively direct the implementation of telegrams, dispatches, and plans of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Agriculture and Environment on strengthening forest fire prevention and fighting.
Mobilize police, military, forest rangers, forest owners and People's Committees of communes and wards to increase patrolling and checking forests from 3-7pm every day in key fire areas, especially forest areas bordering historical sites, special-use forests and protective forests. Strictly control people and vehicles entering the forest to detect early and mobilize fire fighting forces in time to control the fire immediately.

Ensure that forces are on duty 24/7, including holidays, during the period when forest fire forecasts are from level III to level V. Prepare plans to mobilize forces and means to respond to forest fire situations according to the "4 on-site" motto, resolutely not allowing large fires to occur.
The two above Forest Protection Departments provide information to press and radio agencies regularly and promptly on forest fire risk forecasts and warnings, regulations on fire use in forests and forest edges, and daily forest fire situations in the locality so that authorities, forest owners, and people can grasp and be proactive in forest fire prevention and fighting.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed an official dispatch on focusing on overcoming the consequences of the forest fire in Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district (Tuyen Quang) and proactively implementing forest fire prevention and fighting. The Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to be responsible to the Government and the Prime Minister for forest fire prevention and fighting in their localities, and to proactively direct and implement forest fire prevention and fighting.
Hai Duong has over 1,500 hectares of special-use forests and over 4,000 hectares of protective forests in 31 communes and wards of Chi Linh City and Kinh Mon Town. After storm No. 3 (which occurred in September 2024), the whole province had about 1,250 hectares of damaged forests, mainly acacia, eucalyptus, and pine trees; of which about 250 hectares were damaged by 70% or more. The large area of damaged forests combined with dry weather and thick vegetation have caused a number of forest fires to occur recently.
Although Hai Duong has mobilized thousands of people to clean up the forest, there is still a large area of fallen trees that have not been collected, the layer of vegetation is thick, and the risk of forest fires still exists, especially in current weather conditions.
