Currently, about 77% of households in Kim Dong district are implementing the model of classifying and treating organic waste at home, an increase of 1% compared to the same period last year. Of which, over 7,800 households classify and treat organic waste using bins; over 8,500 households use IMO probiotics for treatment; over 2,900 households dig holes and use lids... It is estimated that classifying and treating organic waste at home helps the district reduce about 10 tons of waste that must be transported and treated per day.
Since the beginning of the year, the district has collected and transported over 968 tons of household waste to Urban and Industrial Environment Joint Stock Company 11 (Urenco 11) for treatment; transported about 1,150 tons of household waste to landfills and collection points in communes and towns.
