Two Vietnamese delegations set off on rescue mission in Myanmar

106 officers and soldiers from two working delegations of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam have left for Myanmar to carry out rescue missions after the earthquake disaster that occurred on March 28.

On the afternoon of March 30, two working delegations from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security departed for Myanmar to carry out rescue missions after the earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025 in this country.

The Ministry of National Defense's working delegation included 80 officers and soldiers, carrying necessary equipment, materials, medicines, 6 service dogs and many tons of goods.

The working group of the Ministry of Public Security includes 26 professional fire prevention and fighting and rescue officers with experience and skills in handling complex and emergency situations, as well as foreign affairs officers, interpreters and doctors; bringing along 2 service dogs and many rescue vehicles and tools.

Each department and individual of Vietnam's rescue force has thoroughly grasped and implemented the preparation work with determination to excellently complete the mission.

Sending forces to Myanmar to participate in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief demonstrates the superior foreign policy and high responsibility of the Party, State and people of Vietnam towards the international community; at the same time, it demonstrates and affirms Vietnam's prestige, sense of responsibility and capacity in integration, international relations and international cooperation./.
