Ha Tinh granted special recognition to 157 provincial excellent students with IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher.

157 12th grade students in Ha Tinh were recognized as provincial-level excellent students in foreign languages ​​without having to take the exam of the same name, because they had IELTS scores of 7.0 or higher.

On December 6, information from the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province said that this unit has just issued a decision on special recognition of excellent provincial-level foreign language students in grade 12 for the 2024-2025 school year for 157 students with an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher.

Among the 157 students specially recognized as excellent students of the province this time, 14 students achieved 8.0 - 8.5 IELTS points equivalent to first prize; 56 students achieved 7.5 IELTS points equivalent to second prize; 86 students achieved 7.0 IELTS points equivalent to third prize.

In addition, 1 student with DELF B2 French certificate was specially recognized as first prize.

Most of the students recognized as excellent students are studying at Ha Tinh Specialized High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School (Ha Tinh City). The remaining students come from high schools located in districts and towns of Ha Tinh province.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, the above special treatment for excellent students has been implemented since the 2017-2018 school year, applied to students from grades 9 to 12. For grades 10, 11 and 12, the condition to be recognized as an excellent student in English at the provincial level is to achieve IELTS 7.0 or higher, and grade 9 is 5.5. Students in this category will be exempted from taking the exam of the same name.
