Phuc Tho District offers incense to commemorate the 1982nd anniversary of the death anniversary of the Trung Sisters

Hat Mon Temple, located in Hat Mon Commune, Phuc Tho District, is a temple dedicated to Hai Ba Trung, who raised an army to defeat the invading Eastern Han army in 40 AD. The incense offering ceremony is an opportunity to commemorate the merits of the two female national heroes, who continued the tradition of 18 generations of Hung Kings building and defending the country, recording the first golden page of the Vietnamese nation's history of raising the flag of independence. This is also an opportunity to introduce to friends and visitors about Hat Mon Temple - a special national relic, a long-standing cultural and religious work, which has important significance in the spiritual life of the people of Phuc Tho.

According to legend, before committing suicide to avoid falling into the enemy's hands, the Two Ladies stopped by a banh troi shop to eat banh troi. From this story, the people here have a very special ritual, which is to offer banh troi to the Two Ladies on the festival day. The banh troi procession ceremony with the participation of people from 10 villages in the commune, is the most important and typical ritual of the traditional festival of Hat Mon temple, Phuc Tho district. With the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and to show respect, deeply remember the merits of the two national heroines, to commemorate the day the Two Ladies reincarnated to heaven, the Party Committee, government and people of Phuc Tho district annually organize an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the death anniversary of the Two Trung Sisters on the 6th day of the 3rd lunar month every year.
